		By commissioning planning studies of the University Lake and Cane Creek watersheds, the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) was able to identify the water quality risks associated with future development within the watersheds of these two water supply reservoirs. Using the findings of these studies, OWASA made the informed decision not to extend sewer lines into the watersheds and then embarked upon an extensive land acquisition and rezoning project that further protected the water supplies.
